Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioning Europe, Ltd (MHIAE) has expanded its Hydrolution EZY R290 monobloc air-to-water heat pump range with the launch of new 10kW and 14kW models , available from June 2026. The addition of these higher-capacity units extends the suitability of the Hydrolution EZY range to larger domestic properties and small commercial applications, delivering heating, cooling, and domestic hot water with significantly reduced carbon emissions.
Simplicity and ease of installation
A key advantage of the Hydrolution EZY range is its simple, fast installation. As a single, self-contained monobloc unit, installation requires only minimal plumbing and electrical connections. All refrigerant is fully contained within the outdoor unit, eliminating the need for refrigerant connections to the indoor unit. Only two water pipes and an electrical connection are required, minimising on-site work and reducing commissioning time. For enhanced safety, the units incorporate a built-in refrigerant leak detection sensor. In the unlikely event of a leak, the system automatically shuts down and activates a fan to safely disperse any escaped refrigerant.
Sleek and stylish
All models in the range share a sleek all-black finish, accented with a silver vertical detail. The design cleverly conceals the fan from side views, delivering a clean, modern aesthetic.
High-temperature performance and all-weather reliability
Thanks to R290’s thermodynamic properties and the adoption of re-engineered components, the Hydrolution EZY models can achieve flow temperatures up to 75°C while maintaining reliable performance across ambient conditions from -25°C to +43°C. This enables stable heating and hot water production even in colder climates, without the need for additional backup heating.
Low-noise operation and built-in safety
Both new models are engineered for quiet operation, incorporating a dual-vibration-isolation structure, triple-layer sound insulation, a large fan, and a low-noise operation mode that reduces operating sound, ensuring compliance with noise regulations in densely populated residential areas. The 14kW unit (Model no. FDCW140VNX-P) produces a nominal sound power of 63 dB(A) while a dedicated silent mode further reduces sound levels to 57 dB(A), supporting compliance with local noise regulations and making them suitable for installation in noise sensitive environments.
For enhanced safety, the Hydrolution EZY units feature a built-in refrigerant leak detection sensor. In the unlikely event of a leak, the unit automatically stops operation and activates a fan to safely disperse any escaped refrigerant
Certified quality and peace of mind
Currently, the Hydrolution EZY 6.0kW and 7.1kW models are MCS and Keymark accredited, and accreditation is planned for the new 10kW and 14kW models. MCS and Keymark accreditation offer peace of mind, confirming compliance with recognised quality, safety, and performance standards. These accreditations support product eligibility for incentive schemes where applicable and reinforce confidence in system reliability and efficiency.
